‘Gaijin’ is the Japanese word meaning foreigner, or non-Japanese. Through this work David Favrod set out to explore his own personal duality; Japanese by birth, residing in Switzerland. Creating a series of visual “filters” he investigated the objectivity of his own family life, blurring the line between reality and fiction.
