In this project I tried to approach documentary from a metaphorical point of view, between reality and fiction. Digging into the history of the region of Alsace, where I come from, the book “Légendes du Florival, ou la mythologie allemande dans une vallée d’Alsace”, written by abbot Braun in 1866 in Guebwiller, leb me back to paganism. I realised that appealing and repulsive aspects of my culture, that I thought were in conflict, are actually strongly linked and deeply rooted in the ground. History seems to repeat itself unremittingly, rather than evolving in time.
